How to convert salary to hourly
Divide annual salary by hours worked per year. Full-time is usually 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours. So $65,000 a year is $31.25 an hour.
The formula
Annual = Hourly × hours per week × paid weeks per year
If you take unpaid time off, reduce paid weeks per year. Biweekly pay assumes 26 pay periods; monthly assumes 12.
